2024 Scholarship Application Information

Thank you for your interest in the annual Door County Environmental Council (DCEC) Scholarship Award. This scholarship aims to recognize and support students who have demonstrated a commitment to environmental conservation, sustainability and community engagement.

We seek a secondary level junior or senior student who is interested in the conservation of Door County’s natural and sustainable resources.

Application Instructions and Requirements:

  1. Please submit a resumé that highlights your coursework and activities, including internships, volunteer activities, hobbies and involvement in the community, etc.

  2. Please include an essay, which is no more than two pages typed/double spaced, explaining your interest towards preserving Door County’s natural resources.

  3. Candidates must be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States. Candidates must be a Door County resident.

  4. Please include: student profile, three reference letters, an unofficial high school transcript and a copy of a “letter of acceptance” from the college or technical school for which you have enrolled.

Scholarship Details:

  • Award amount: $1000

  • #of Awards Available: 1

  • Granted by: Door County Environmental Council

  • Application due: April 15, 2024

  • Available to: College or Technical School bound, graduating high school students

  • Minimum GPA: 2.75
